Born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun in Lagos, Wizkid initially faced an absent music industry infrastructure. His ascent to international fame was propelled by raw talent and determination, with a belief that his success could reshape perceptions of Nigeria and Africa.

The documentary’s trailer, released on November 4, positions Wizkid as a “national hero” amid Nigeria’s quest to redefine its identity post-colonialism. It chronicles his journey from Nigeria to the UK, where he engages with fans and performs, reshaping historical ties between the two nations.
