Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster made a notable appearance together at the Gotham Awards, held on December 1, where Jackman was honored with the Musical Tribute award. The acclaimed actor, aged 57, sported a sleek black suit, while Foster, 50, dazzled in a black sequined dress.
The Gotham Awards took place at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City and recognized various honorees, including Jackman and his Song Sung Blue co-star, Kate Hudson. The romance between Jackman and Foster, former co-stars from the 2022 Broadway revival of The Music Man, was confirmed during a hand-holding outing in Los Angeles earlier this year. The couple made their official red carpet debut on October 26 at the AFI Fest premiere of Song Sung Blue.
Prior to this relationship, Jackman and his ex-wife, Deborra-lee Furness, ended their 27-year marriage in September 2023, finalizing their divorce in June 2024. Foster also filed for divorce from her husband, Ted Griffin, in October 2024, after a decade of marriage and shares a seven-year-old daughter with him.
A source close to Foster mentioned in October that she and Jackman are “in love and were genuinely excited to walk the carpet together” at AFI Fest. The source added, “The drama is behind them now, and they’ve built a strong foundation of trust. Both are feeling giddy and happy and are excited to share their future together.”
The Gotham Awards recently announced nominees and tributes for this year’s ceremony, highlighting notable talents such as Jennifer Lawrence, Adam Sandler, and both Stellan and Alexander Skarsgård.
In addition to Jackman and Hudson, the 2025 tributes will honor Luca Guadagnino and Julia Roberts for After the Hunt; Guillermo del Toro, Oscar Isaac, and Jacob Elordi for Frankenstein; Tessa Thompson for Hedda; Noah Baumbach for Jay Kelly; Jeremy Allen White and Scott Cooper for Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere; and the ensemble of Sinners.
The award-winning Song Sung Blue is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 25.
