Westminster Honors Charlie Kirk with New Street Name

A portion of Westminster has officially been named in honor of Charlie Kirk, a conservative podcaster and activist who was tragically fatally shot last year. The newly dedicated "Charlie Kirk Way" is situated near the intersection of Westminster Boulevard and All-American Way.

According to Mayor Charlie Nguyen, this dedication marks Westminster as the first city in the nation to honor Kirk in this manner. “As Mayor, I am proud that Westminster, CA is the first city in the country to dedicate an official Charlie Kirk Way,” Nguyen stated on social media.

Kirk was shot on September 10, 2025, while delivering a speech at Utah Valley University in Orem. Tyler Robinson, 22, has been arrested in connection with the shooting and faces charges of aggravated murder.

This dedication serves as a notable tribute to Kirk’s impact within the community and the conversations surrounding his activism.
