Back to the Future Actor Faces Lawsuit Over Allegations of Holding Woman in Dangerous Situation in LA
Crispin Glover Faces Battery and Fraud Allegations in Lawsuit
Actor Crispin Glover is facing serious allegations of battery and fraud in a lawsuit filed Wednesday by an unnamed woman in Los Angeles. Legal documents obtained by Fox News Digital outline the claims made by Jane Doe, who asserts that she was "essentially held captive and used for sex and free labor" by the star of "Back to the Future."
According to the lawsuit, Glover, 61, is accused of luring Doe from her home in the U.K. with promises of employment and housing. The woman alleges that once she relocated to Los Angeles to work as Glover’s assistant, she found herself in a controlling and distressing situation. The documents detail that Glover sought to monitor her movements and actions, intending for her to serve as a “live-in girlfriend/sex slave.”
The situation escalated when Doe reportedly resisted Glover’s "increasingly bizarre and inappropriate demands." Following her refusal, the actor allegedly evicted her unlawfully and made a false police report against her, seeking a restraining order.
Representatives for Glover have yet to respond to requests for comment.
Doe met Glover through social media in 2015, and their relationship progressed with a meeting in Dresden, Germany, in 2023, where he reportedly showcased items from his collection of Nazi memorabilia. Subsequently, Glover convinced Doe to move to Los Angeles with promises of a home and work. Upon arriving, she claims she was fully at his mercy.
In March 2024, Doe allegedly sought to attend a mosque for worship but was told by Glover not to leave or risk being locked out of his home. When she did attend, she returned to find herself locked out, leading to an altercation where Glover allegedly choked her, resulting in visible injuries.
Doe’s lawsuit also claims that Glover misrepresented her as an unlawful intruder and later filed a restraining order, which was dismissed for lack of prosecution. She maintains that Glover continued to harass her, attempting to manipulate her into a sexual relationship even after the legal proceedings.
Now homeless and emotionally affected by her experiences, Doe is pursuing legal action not only for battery and fraud but also for malicious prosecution, intentional infliction of emotional distress, violations of the Bane Act, and wrongful eviction.
