CBS Renews Harlan Coben’s Final Twist for a Second Season
CBS has announced the renewal of Harlan Coben’s true-crime docuseries, Final Twist, for a second season, set to premiere as part of the network’s Fall 2026-27 schedule. The series will air on Monday nights at 10 p.m., following FBI and CIA, which will air at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. respectively.
The docuseries takes viewers on a compelling journey through gripping murder investigations, with Coben leading the exploration of hidden truths, deceptions, and lies. Each one-hour episode promises a deep dive into cases that challenge perceptions of reality.
Season one featured five intriguing cases, currently available for streaming on Paramount+. A new list of cases for the second season will be released in the future.
Among the notable cases from Season 1 are:
Billy & Billy Jean: Following the murder of a couple in their home, detectives delve into a social media-driven cyberbullying feud and uncover a possible connection to a CIA agent with personal motives.
Gambler’s Debt: The investigation into the murder of Anna Mae, a successful businesswoman found stabbed in her pristine home, leads detectives through a web of suspects and motives, ranging from hidden debts to familial ties.
No Sign of Nancy: In a shocking disappearance during a wedding in wine country, the beloved Nancy becomes the center of an intensive investigation involving numerous suspects and advanced technology called "geo fencing."
Who Killed Joy?: The tragic death of Joy Hibbs sparks a 20-year cold case following the revelation that her death was due to stabbing, not a fire as originally thought. Determined to uncover the truth, her son reopens the investigation, driven by the desire for justice.
Shot in the Dark: The narrative unfolds when Melissa Oxley discovers her husband, Ben, has been shot in their bed. With the sound of the shot unheard by anyone in the house, investigators are left to navigate an atmosphere filled with silence and suspicion.
As the second season approaches, viewers can look forward to more intricate tales that highlight the complexities of crime and the relentless pursuit of truth.
