Tian has established herself as a prominent figure on the Sydney comedy circuit and gained significant popularity on TikTok during the pandemic, earning millions of likes and building an online audience exceeding one million followers. Her debut solo show, Picture This, was a remarkable success, selling out performances across Australia’s east coast and later premiering on YouTube, where it amassed nearly one million views. Her follow-up production, Chinese Australian: A Tale of Internet Fame, also enjoyed sold-out runs in Australia and marked her first appearances at the Edinburgh Fringe and the West End’s Boulevard Theatre, which drew full audiences.
Building on her stand-up achievements, Tian has secured her place in the lineups for the 2024, 2025, and 2026 Melbourne Comedy Festival Galas, and is set to appear as a cast member in Season 2 of Taskmaster Australia. Her performance in the latter has earned her a Logie nomination for Best New Talent. Recently, she was announced as a recipient of the Screen Australia and YouTube funding initiative, Skip Ahead, and is currently in pre-production for Dupermarket, a web series that she is co-writing with Patrick Golamco, in addition to starring in.
Currently, Tian is touring her latest show, When Life Gives You Oranges, across Australia and is scheduled to bring the act to North America this fall. She is represented by Avalon and Creative Representation in Australia, as well as Gersh.
