Britney Spears Opens Up About Her Instagram Dancing and Hints at a Possible Performance with Her Son

Britney Spears is addressing discussions around her recent dancing style. On January 8, the 44-year-old pop star shared an old photo via Instagram from her performance of “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman” at the 29th Annual American Music Awards in 2002. In the post, she reflected on her thoughts regarding returning to the stage.
“Interestingly enough, I dance on IG to heal things in my body that people have no idea about,” Spears wrote. “Yup, and it’s embarrassing sometimes… but I walked through the fire to save my life.”

Additionally, the “Gimme More” singer stated that she does not intend to perform in the United States again for personal reasons. “I will never perform in the U.S. again because of extremely sensitive reasons, but I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son…in the UK and Australia very soon,” she shared. “He’s a huge star and I’m so humbled to be in his presence!!! God speed, little man!”
While Spears did not specify which of her sons—Sean, 20, or Jayden, 19—she was referring to, she mentioned plans to send a white piano she used during the 2002 AMAs to him.

In a recent Instagram selfie with Jayden, Spears added playful emojis to the caption. A source close to the singer noted that she enjoyed a special Christmas celebration with her son. Meanwhile, Sean spent the holiday with his aunt, Jamie Lynn Spears, and grandmother, Lynn Spears.
Britney shares her two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline. Following the release of Federline’s memoir, “You Thought You Knew,” he shared in a November interview, “We haven’t talked specifically, but I know that she’s talked to our sons, which is good.” He affirmed the strong bond the children have with their mother, saying, “They absolutely love their mom, right? I mean, they always, always have, always will.”
