Netflix to Livestream Alex Honnold’s Taipei 101 Climb
Netflix is set to elevate the thrill of entertainment with a livestream event featuring renowned climber Alex Honnold as he attempts to scale Taipei 101. This monumental climb is scheduled for January 23, marking a significant milestone in Honnold’s illustrious career.
Honnold, acclaimed for his breathtaking ascent of El Capitan in the Oscar and Emmy-winning documentary Free Solo, will fulfill a lifelong dream by undertaking this daring feat. The climb on the iconic skyscraper, which stands at 1,667 feet (508 meters) and boasts 101 stories, is one of the most ambitious urban free solo projects to date.

Sports anchor Elle Duncan, a former ESPN host, will lead the commentary, joined by professional climber Emily Harrington, ex-NASA engineer Mark Rober, WWE star Seth Rollins, and seasoned climbing commentator Pete Woods, who brings over 30 years of expertise to the broadcast.
