Christina Ricci Takes on a New Role in the Upcoming Peacock Series Adaptation of ‘The Astrology House’ by Lindsay Calhoon Bring
Peacock Developing New Drama ‘The Astrology House’ Starring Christina Ricci
Peacock is set to produce a new drama series titled The Astrology House, based on Carinn Jade’s novel of the same name. Christina Ricci will not only star in the series but will also serve as an executive producer. The adaptation is being penned by Lindsay Calhoon Bring, co-creator of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, and is produced by Universal Television, part of Universal Studio Group.
The narrative revolves around the intertwined lives of Rini and Margot, portrayed by Ricci. When Rini invites Margot and her circle to her astrology retreat, buried resentments and secrets emerge, leading to a dramatic climax that culminates in death.
In addition to Ricci, Michael Peters will executive produce for Cat Full of Spiders, with Calhoon Bring and Jade serving as executive producers and consulting producer, respectively.
Ricci currently stars as Misty Quigley in Showtime’s acclaimed series Yellowjackets, a role that garnered her an Emmy nomination in 2022. She received a previous Emmy nomination in 2006 for her guest appearance on Grey’s Anatomy. Her recent work also includes a significant role in Netflix’s hit series Wednesday, aligning with her iconic role in The Addams Family. Ricci’s additional television credits comprise Prime Video’s Z: The Beginning of Everything and the title role in The Lizzie Borden Chronicles, for which she earned a SAG Award nomination. She is represented by CAA, Untitled Entertainment, and attorney Gretchen Rush.
Calhoon Bring co-created and served as co-showrunner of HBO Max’s Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, developed in collaboration with Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Her experience includes roles on Netflix’s The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and she is a graduate of the Warner Bros. Writers Workshop’s 2018 class. Bring is represented by CAA, Untitled Entertainment, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
