Sarah Snook Reflects on Acting After Critics Choice Win
Sarah Snook emphasized a light-hearted perspective on her acting career while accepting an award at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards on January 4. The 38-year-old actress, known for her compelling role in the Peacock mystery thriller All Her Fault, described acting as “a game of pretend” in her post-award press room comments.
Snook was honored with the Critics Choice Award for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television. During her remarks, she highlighted the importance of maintaining perspective in her profession. “Getting paid to do this job is very nice,” she remarked, expressing gratitude for her opportunities in the industry. Looking ahead, Snook expressed hope for continued roles that challenge her abilities.

The Succession star emphasized diligence in her career. “Just keep your hand down and keep doing things to keep working,” Snook advised, suggesting that hard work and persistence are essential in the entertainment industry.
Reflecting on her acceptance speech, Snook noted the joy of collaborating with her crew: “We had an awesome time with the crew, shooting really great stuff. I think the main thing is just having a great time while we’re shooting, ’cause we’re just playing pretend.”
All Her Fault is an eight-episode mystery thriller where Snook portrays Marissa Irvine, a wealth manager whose life spirals into chaos when her five-year-old son goes missing. The narrative reveals a complex web of secrets in her suburban life, based on Andrea Mara’s bestselling novel.

Snook is also preparing for her Broadway debut in The Picture of Dorian Gray, set to premiere in March. In this innovative production, she will portray 26 characters, featuring a blend of video and theatrical elements. Snook previously captivated audiences in a similar adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray in London, a performance that garnered her an Olivier Award.
