After unveiling his fall 2026 men’s collection for Louis Vuitton earlier in the week, Williams, 52, visited the Élysée Palace in Paris. During a private ceremony, Macron awarded him the Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur, presenting the distinguished medal on a red ribbon in recognition of Williams’ significant contributions to culture and the creative arts.
“Chevalier of the Légion d’honneur. Grateful and blessed🙏🏾,” Pharrell wrote on Instagram. His post featured a photo of himself shaking hands with Macron, celebrating alongside the Clipse’s Pusha T, and French First Lady Brigitte Macron. Williams was also joined by his wife, Helen Lasichanh, and their four children. Notably, artists Future and Quavo from Migos were present, mingling under the elegant chandeliers at Macron’s official residence.
This is not the first recognition the French government has bestowed upon Williams. He previously received the insignia of Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters from France’s culture minister for his artistic contributions. In addition to his almost 30-year career as a performer, songwriter, and producer, Williams co-founded the fashion brand Billionaire Boys Club and has been serving as the men’s creative director for Louis Vuitton since February 2023.
