Nene Leakes Returns to Bravo with ‘Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip’ After a Long Journey
Nene Leakes is set to return to the Bravo network with the upcoming spinoff, The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip, celebrating the franchise’s 20-year legacy.
The former star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, often referred to as the “mother of all housewives,” expressed her excitement about the return in an Instagram video. “This has been a really long, long journey, and gosh, I’m happy, overjoyed to say that I will be returning to Bravo,” Leakes stated. “I almost can’t believe the words that are coming out of my mouth. I’m just so happy.”
Leakes is widely recognized as one of the standout figures from the The Real Housewives franchise. She concluded her time on RHOA after Season 12 in 2020 due to a contract dispute and subsequently filed a lawsuit against Bravo, alleging a toxic work environment, though she later dropped the case. In August 2023, she mentioned she held no hard feelings toward executive producer Andy Cohen and was open to rejoining the franchise.

Following her announcement, Andy Cohen commented on Leakes’ Instagram post, stating, “Couldn’t celebrate 20 years without you.”
The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip will showcase a diverse group of beloved Housewives as they embark on an unforgettable journey through key locations from the franchise’s history. The trip begins in Orange County and concludes with a grand finale on the East Coast, featuring appearances by fan favorites from various cities.
