Meghan Markle recently expressed her support for Prince Harry during his unexpected participation in the St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship in Aspen, Colorado, on December 17.
In an Instagram Story, the Duchess of Sussex shared an image of the Duke of Sussex on horseback during the match, captioning it, “Oh, hello there.”
A spokesperson for Prince Harry later confirmed that he was standing in for a friend at the event.
As reported by Aspen Snow Polo’s Instagram page, Harry competed on the Aspen Valley team, while his friend Nacho Figueras played for the St. Regis team alongside his sons, Artemo and Hilario.
Meanwhile, Meghan remained at home in Montecito, California, with their children—Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4—as they prepare for Christmas celebrations.

The snow polo championship has previously drawn many celebrities, including Anna Kendrick, Nicky Hilton, Billie Lourd, and Riley Keough.
Prince Harry is recognized for participating in charity polo matches, having previously competed against his brother Prince William before stepping back from royal duties in 2020.
Last year, he participated in the Royal Salute Polo Challenge in Florida, where Meghan was present, and Netflix captured content for their documentary series, set to premiere in 2024.
This is not the first time Harry and Figueras have played together on the polo field in Aspen; they previously competed in the Sentebale Polo Cup at the Aspen Valley Polo Club in August 2022.
