Friends and colleagues of Jasen Kaplan, a celebrity makeup artist and former contestant on *Finding Prince Charming*, are sharing heartfelt tributes following his unexpected death.
In an Instagram post on January 1, reality star Bethenny Frankel remarked on the profound loss, describing Kaplan as “one of a kind” and stating that his death felt surreal. She characterized him as “magnetic, generous, endlessly supportive,” and noted his ability to uplift those around him.
“He made people feel seen, celebrated, and better about themselves,” Frankel added. She encouraged her followers to express love to someone close, sharing cherished memories with Kaplan through photos and videos.
Kelly Osbourne also took to Instagram to mourn Kaplan. In a heartfelt message, she said, “I’m devastated I love you so much @jasenkaplan.” Osbourne reflected on the joy he brought into her life, expressing hope that he had found peace. “Life will never be the same without you!” she wrote, sharing nostalgic images of the two together.

Celebrity hairstylist Johnny Lavoy also expressed his sadness over Kaplan’s passing. In a post on January 2, he said, “I’m in shock and saddened. We had so many laughs. Rip Jasen you will be missed by many.”
Kaplan passed away in New York City on December 31 at the age of 46. The New York Police Department confirmed that his death is currently under investigation, with an autopsy planned to determine the official cause.
In his final social media posts, Kaplan addressed accusations made by *Real Housewives of New Jersey* star Jackie Goldschneider, who claimed he was antisemitic. In response, he emphasized the difference between criticizing the Israeli government’s policies and harboring antisemitic sentiments.
