Marco Chimenz Departures Federation Studios After Nearly Three Years
Marco Chimenz has stepped down as co-managing director of Federation Studios, concluding a nearly three-year tenure. His departure was effective April 8.
Chimenz joined the company in 2023, where he collaborated extensively with Pascal Breton and Lionel Uzan on projects, including Bureau and Around the World in 80 Days. Following his exit, Uzan will assume the role of managing director, and Chimenz’s position will not be filled.
Breton expressed gratitude for Chimenz’s contributions, stating, "We warmly thank Marco for his valuable contribution to the group’s international growth and wish him every success in his future professional endeavors."
Reflecting on his time at Federation Studios, Chimenz noted, “These two and a half years have been a very interesting experience and a unique chance to work with a dynamic, young, and motivated team of executives and producers, to whom I wish all the best.”
Before joining Federation, Chimenz was at the helm of Cattleya, the producer behind the acclaimed series Gomorrah. His period at Federation coincided with notable growth for one of Europe’s preeminent studios, particularly as it has expanded its reach into English-language programming with adaptations of Around the World in 80 Days, A Tale of Two Cities, and Gulliver’s Travels.
