Clippers Launch All-Star Homecourt Hoops Program Ahead of 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend
INGLEWOOD, Calif. – In preparation for the upcoming 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend, the Los Angeles Clippers have launched the All-Star Homecourt Hoops Program at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood. This initiative aims to engage the community as the city gears up to host the much-anticipated All-Star events scheduled for February 15, 2026.
The Intuit Dome will serve as the main venue for the All-Star Game, while additional festivities will be hosted at the LA Convention Center in downtown Los Angeles. As excitement builds, Los Angeles is poised to welcome fans from across the country.
As of January 6, the NBA has revealed player voting results, with Luka Dončić of the LA Lakers currently leading the Western Conference in fan votes. Giannis Antetokounmpo tops the Eastern Conference, showcasing the popularity of these athletes.
Fans eagerly await the opportunity to celebrate the All-Star Weekend, which will feature a variety of events showcasing not just basketball but also intersections of art, fashion, and technology.
For the All-Star Game, a total of 24 players—12 from each conference—will be selected. The starters will be determined by fan votes (50%), current NBA players (25%), and a media panel (25%). The league’s head coaches will select the reserves.
The 2026 edition of the All-Star Game will introduce a new competitive format featuring U.S. versus World teams, which seeks to amplify the excitement surrounding the event. If not enough players are selected from the U.S. and international ranks, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver will step in to make additional selections.
Fan voting for the event will conclude on January 14, with the announcement of the All-Star Game starters set for January 19. This year’s festivities promise to be a memorable celebration for basketball fans, embodying the spirit and culture of the NBA.
