Jon Batiste Shares an Energetic Performance of ‘Big Money’ on ‘Austin City Limits’

The live music show Austin City Limits is set to return with the second half of its 51st season. The lineup includes notable Grammy nominees such as Jon Batiste, Leon Thomas, and Reneé Rapp.

While the new episodes will officially premiere in January, a special episode featuring Batiste will air on Saturday, December 13. This appearance marks Batiste’s return to ACL since 2021, during which he will showcase selections from his latest album, Big Money, accompanied by a 14-piece band. Grammy-winning R&B artist Andra Day will also make an appearance.
Billboard will exclusively premiere Batiste’s performance of the title track, which features a tutorial on the “Big Money” dance. Batiste describes the song as a message about “not selling your soul for silver and gold, ever.”
Big Money, released in August, is Batiste’s ninth studio album. The record features contributions from Day, as well as artist Randy Newman and producer No I.D. Season 51, which launched in October, initially featured appearances by artists including FINNEAS, the Marías, Kelsea Ballerini, and Samara Joy, among others.
Austin City Limits, produced by Austin PBS, has received numerous accolades, including a Peabody Award and the National Medal of Arts—the only television series to have ever received this honor.
