The show will feature Emmy-nominated actor D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai (Reservation Dogs), Annabel Wolfe (Surviving Summer), and Oliver Edis (Gnomes), joining previously announced lead and executive producer Antony Starr. Supporting cast members include Asher Yasbincek as Maggie (Heartbreak High), David Howell as Iggy (Run, The Narrow Road To The Deep North), Tyroe Muhafidin as Danno (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power), Tom Dawson as Don (Tenzing), Sherry-Lee Watson as Astrid (Heartbreak High), Lu Miller as Amara (Nansie), Eliza Learmonth as Clementine (Baby Shower), and Brodie Townsend as Kurt (Heartbreak High).
Antony Starr and Pete Jackson are joined as executive producers by Clerkenwell Films’ Gavin O’Grady, Petra Fried, and Wim De Greef. Direction is being handled by Mary Nighy (Say Nothing, Industry) and Ng Choon Ping (What It Feels Like For A Girl, Femme). Clerkenwell Films, a part of BBC Studios, is producing the series in partnership with BBC Studios Productions Australia.
Breakers marks a significant milestone as Netflix’s first series filmed in Western Australia, benefiting from support provided by Screenwest and the WA Government through the Western Australian Production Attraction Incentive.
