FX Announces Premiere Date for Ryan Murphy’s "The Beauty"
FX has revealed a first look at Ryan Murphy’s upcoming series, The Beauty, along with its premiere date and a lineup of notable guest stars.
The series, part of Murphy’s current agreement with Disney, is set to debut on January 21, featuring three episodes on both the FX channel and streaming platforms Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally. Following the premiere, new episodes from the 11-episode first season will air each Wednesday, with two episodes released in the final two weeks.
The star-studded cast is further enhanced by guest appearances from notable figures including Amelia Gray Hamlin, Ari Graynor, Bella Hadid, Ben Platt, Billy Eichner, Isabella Rossellini, and many others.
The Beauty is adapted from a comic book series by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley. The narrative unfolds within the high-fashion world, where international supermodels face mysterious and gruesome deaths. FBI Agents Cooper Madsen, played by Evan Peters, and Jordan Bennett, portrayed by Rebecca Hall, are dispatched to Paris to investigate. Their investigation uncovers a sexually transmitted virus that grants ordinary individuals alarming physical perfection.
The plot thickens as they confront “The Corporation,” a powerful tech billionaire, played by Ashton Kutcher, who has created a controversial drug known as “The Beauty.” To protect his billion-dollar empire, he unleashes a lethal enforcer known as “The Assassin,” played by Anthony Ramos. Amid this chaos, a character named Jeremy, played by Jeremy Pope, seeks purpose while the agents race across major cities, including Paris, Venice, Rome, and New York, to avert a catastrophic threat to humanity.
Created and written by Ryan Murphy and Matthew Hodgson, The Beauty is executive produced by Murphy, Hodgson, Peters, Ramos, Pope, and others, with Hurley serving as a consultant. The series is produced by 20th Television.
