Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas Reunite for a Surprise Duet at Tour Kickoff: A Nostalgic ‘Camp Rock’ Moment

Demi Lovato made a surprise appearance at a Jonas Brothers concert recently, igniting a wave of excitement among fans. On Monday, April 13, Joe Jonas reciprocated the gesture by joining Lovato on stage during her performance at the Kia Center in Orlando.
Kicking off her “It’s Not That Deep Tour,” which promotes her latest album, Lovato treated the audience with a rendition of her iconic song, “This Is Me,” from the Camp Rock soundtrack. The atmosphere erupted when Lovato paused after the first chorus to announce, “Ladies and gentlemen, Joe Jonas!”
Jonas emerged under a spotlight, seamlessly diving into the duet they first performed together in the 2008 Disney Channel film. “You’re the missing piece of me, the song inside of me,” he sang, joining Lovato for the poignant line, “I gotta find you.”
The pair further delighted the crowd with a rendition of “On the Line” from Lovato’s debut album, Don’t Forget, which features contributions from the Jonas Brothers.
To celebrate their reunion, Lovato and Jonas shared playful TikTok videos, showcasing their camaraderie. Lovato posted a clip of the two lip-syncing to an audio snippet of Kim Kardashian, saying, “We’re back! Did you miss us? ‘Cause we missed you.”
In Jonas’ video, the duo shared a casual moment on couches backstage, with Jonas praising Lovato’s talents. “Your friend is so talented and smart and kind and snatched,” he remarked, to which Lovato playfully replied, “Wait, but that’s you.”
Lovato’s album, It’s Not That Deep, launched in October and debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200, marking the star’s ninth top 10 hit. Her setlist included tracks from the new album along with popular hits like “Heart Attack,” “Tell Me You Love Me,” and “Cool for the Summer.”
This tour’s opening show precedes the anticipated production of Camp Rock 3, which Lovato is co-producing with the Jonas Brothers, who will reprise their roles from the films. Just a month prior to this announcement, Lovato and Jonas performed “This Is Me” alongside “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” during a concert at MetLife Stadium.
