Singer D4vd Arrested in Murder Case of 15-Year-Old Celeste Rivas Hernandez
LOS ANGELES – Newly unsealed court documents reveal disturbing details surrounding the alleged murder of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose dismembered remains were discovered in a Tesla belonging to singer D4vd.
The Los Angeles Police Department announced on social media on Thursday, April 16, that David Burke, known by his stage name D4vd, has been arrested in connection with the case. D4vd is currently being held without bail, and the case is set to be presented to the District Attorney’s office for filing consideration on Monday.
The investigation began after Rivas Hernandez’s body was found in September 2025 inside the trunk of an abandoned Tesla in Los Angeles. Early findings indicated that the vehicle was registered in D4vd’s name.
Rivas Hernandez had reportedly been dating D4vd before her disappearance, which was first reported in April 2024 in Lake Elsinore. During the early days of the investigation, friends of the singer expressed surprise, believing Rivas Hernandez was a 19-year-old student at USC, as she had frequently attended age-restricted events.
Further adding to the complexities surrounding this case, D4vd and Rivas Hernandez shared matching tattoos on their right index fingers, sparking speculation on social media about the singer’s possible involvement in her death.
