Celebrity hair stylist David Robert Naumann is refuting claims that Lori Loughlin’s striking new hairstyle is a wig. Loughlin, the beloved star of "Full House," unveiled a much shorter bob with caramel highlights and curtain bangs on April 16, prompting a wave of speculation online.
In response to a comment on Us Weekly’s Instagram that questioned the authenticity of Loughlin’s haircut, Naumann tweeted, “It’s not a wig. I’d know ;).” He further clarified on his own Instagram account, stating, “Chop chop for Lori yesterday,” alongside a link to an article detailing the actress’s dramatic transformation.
Loughlin’s new look has captured significant attention, particularly during her appearance at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art Opening Gala, where she attended with her daughter, Olivia Jade Giannulli. The actress’s change comes in the wake of her reported separation from husband Mossimo Giannulli after nearly 28 years of marriage, a subject that has stirred considerable media interest since the news broke in October 2025.
“Lori and Mossimo are living apart now,” a representative for Loughlin stated. The couple shares two daughters, Olivia Jade, 26, and Isabella Rose, 27. Loughlin and Giannulli eloped in November 1997, just days before Thanksgiving.
Reflecting on her relationship in 2018, Loughlin expressed the importance of communication and flexibility in a successful marriage, describing Giannulli as “my guy, he’s my person.”
On a professional note, Loughlin is set to resume her role as Abigail Stanton in Hallmark Channel’s "When Calls the Heart" next season, after a brief hiatus following the college admissions scandal that previously led to her departure from the series.
