Candiace Dillard-Bassett Shares Her Go-To Travel Skin-Care Essentials and Favorite Arby’s Order
Candiace Dillard-Bassett, known for her appearances on The Traitors and The Real Housewives of Potomac, has established a reputation for her candid personality and impeccable style. The singer, actress, and reality star has a distinctive way of expressing her passions, whether it’s about beauty or food.
Her latest collaboration with Arby’s highlights this authenticity. Dillard-Bassett is promoting the brand’s new Meat & 3 Value Box, which offers customers a customizable meal for $7.99. The box includes an entrée, appetizer, side, dessert, and drink—a combination designed to satisfy cravings while delivering value.
We spoke with Dillard-Bassett about the partnership, her current beauty favorites, and the importance of indulgence on one’s own terms.
“Yes! I am traveling all week. I just came from San Francisco at the Super Bowl, actually. I flew down to LA. I’m here for the week doing some press and some Traitors stuff and music stuff as well,” she shared.
Dillard-Bassett reflected on her connection to Arby’s, stating, “It really felt like such an organic partnership for me and a full-circle moment. I grew up eating Arby’s. I was born in Biloxi, Mississippi. My parents were in the Air Force, and we were stationed at Keesler Air Force Base. I just remember always going to Arby’s. The big thing back then was the roast beef sandwich with the Arby’s sauce, but I’m loving the new Meat & 3 deal with the meat, three sides, and a drink for $7.99. It was so fun to do this commercial with them, almost like revisiting my childhood, having those core memories of going with my mom after school for dinner or lunch on the weekends.”
She added, “Forever and always, I will be an Arby’s curly fry girl. If I could be a curly fry for Halloween, I would be one. That’s how much I love the fries!”
“Yes! Same. It is truly a core memory for me as well,” she responded when asked if Arby’s held similar significance for her.
Discussing the challenges of balancing her busy schedule with motherhood, Dillard-Bassett noted, “It has been increasingly more challenging, especially since I’m a new mom. For me, when I turned 30, I started to take my skin-care routine seriously. I got into the 10-step Korean skin-care routine and will spend an hour in the bathroom doing all my steps. That’s my happy place.”
She added, “I love to nap when I can. My husband is a classically French-trained chef, so we’re always eating at home. More often than not now, we’re both exhausted, making it easier to grab some Arby’s. I always get a big curly fry and love dipping my fries in the Arby’s sauce.”
Dillard-Bassett reflected on her recent travels, saying, “It feels like a blur. I landed in San Francisco earlier today. I did the Super Bowl pre-show, which was so cool. It was televised, and my family and friends were sending me videos of me on their TV.”
She shared her travel routine, explaining, “I typically travel without makeup so I can wear under-eye patches. I wear them until they dry out and keep misting face spray on hand to keep my skin hydrated during flights, as airplanes can be drying.”
Looking ahead, she stated, “Yes. There are so many things on the horizon. I’m promoting my latest single, If Only, which is out now on all streaming platforms. A music video will be released next week. We will also be taping the The Traitors reunion soon, so there will be plenty of press around the finale.”
“Those are the highlights,” she concluded. “And in between, I will be eating a curly fry from Arby’s.”
