Brian Robbins’ Big Shot Pictures Teams Up with Adley McBride for the ‘Eloise’ Series
Big Shot Pictures Partners with Spacestation and Adley McBride to Develop New Children’s Content
Big Shot Pictures, the family entertainment company founded by Brian Robbins, has entered into a strategic partnership with Shaun McBride’s media company, Spacestation. This collaboration centers on the creation of content for children and families, leveraging the popularity of YouTube star Adley McBride, known for her channel A for Adley.
The partnership will produce a digital-first animated series based on the Eloise book series, which Big Shot recently acquired. This new venture will infuse Adley’s signature "Best Day Ever" ethos into original storytelling for children. Additionally, the partnership aims to expand the consumer product offerings associated with the beloved Eloise character.
A key component of this collaboration will be a creator-focused incubator designed to nurture new intellectual property through animation, consumer products, and innovative business ventures.
Adley McBride, one of the most influential figures in children’s entertainment online, has achieved remarkable success with her channel, A for Adley – Learning & Fun, amassing over 8.5 million subscribers and 12 billion total views. The channel consistently ranks among the top 50 YouTube channels in the U.S., averaging 100 to 150 million views each month. Her mobile games have also thrived, with over 6.9 million downloads, and her merchandise frequently sells out.
In a statement, McBride expressed her excitement about the partnership, saying, “Our family gets to share stories that are meaningful to millions of real people, I mean how awesome is that!! Everything we create comes together alongside our crew, then out to a community that’s been growing with us over the years… This story is just getting started.”
Robbins, who previously served as co-CEO of Paramount Global, launched Big Shot Pictures with a vision to develop the next generation of global children’s franchises. With an emphasis on building a slate of projects around creators who possess dedicated digital audiences, the partnership with McBride fits within Robbins’ digital-first strategy that utilizes platforms like YouTube to create and grow audience engagement.
Big Shot Pictures has already secured a first-look theatrical distribution deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment and is supported by investments from notable companies such as Greycroft, MarcyPen Capital Partners, ValueAct Capital, and CAA. Upcoming projects include an anime series with globally recognized streamer IShowSpeed, envisioned by One Piece showrunner Matt Owens, the reimagining of the Eloise at the Plaza franchise, and a short-form animated series for YouTube featuring The Bucket List Family.
