Amber Alert Issued for Missing Children in Santa Clarita
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The California Highway Patrol has activated an Amber Alert for two children reported missing in Santa Clarita, following a request from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities state that the children were last seen around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, near the intersection of River Circle and Soledad Canyon Road. They are believed to be with a 45-year-old woman named Cristal Ordonez.
The missing children are identified as 9-year-old Sofia Ordonez and 12-year-old Romeo Ordonez. Sofia is approximately 4 feet tall, weighs 70 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. Romeo stands at 5 feet 7 inches, weighs 190 pounds, and also has brown hair and brown eyes.
Officials have described the suspect’s vehicle as a 2018 black Kia Sorento with California license plate number 8BLRF237.
Details regarding what the children were wearing at the time of their disappearance remain unclear, along with the nature of their relationship to the suspect.
