Celebrate the World Cup in Downtown LA: Best Spots for Soccer Fun
This summer, Los Angeles is poised to be the center of attention as the 2026 World Cup arrives at SoFi Stadium in June. For those unable to attend the matches, a variety of festivities throughout the city will allow fans to join the celebration.
The city is set to feature an extensive schedule of free fan zones, cultural festivals, and lively watch parties. Official hubs will be established at Union Station and LA Plaza, along with community viewing events at Boomtown Brewery. Attendees can look forward to live match broadcasts, diverse culinary options, and engaging entertainment in Downtown Los Angeles.
Union Station will function as an official Fan Zone from June 25 to 28, offering an array of free activities, including live match viewings, music, and an immersive fan experience. Doors will open daily at 10:30 a.m., and attendees must secure a free ticket in advance.
LA Plaza is partnering with the Consulate General of Mexico, Telemundo 52, and Jive Live to host Casa Mexico Los Angeles 2026. This initiative will feature a five-week celebration of soccer and culture, transforming the plaza into a vibrant community hub. Anticipating over 20,000 visitors, the venue will host live viewing parties and exhibitions, serving as the official hospitality suite for the Government of Mexico during the tournament.
“We are honored to showcase Mexico’s cultural richness, creativity, and hospitality at the heart of Los Angeles,” said González Gutiérrez, Consul General of Mexico in Los Angeles. “Casa Mexico Los Angeles will be a home for everyone, a space to celebrate our shared history, strengthen our friendship, and highlight the contributions of Mexicans and Mexican Americans to this great city.”
At El Pueblo Historical Monument, the Pico House will be transformed into Celebration Plaza starting June 11. For three weeks, it will feature live music, food, and merchandise celebrating the teams. A three-day cultural celebration, the "El Pueblo de Los Angeles Heritage Festival," will coincide with the World Cup matches from June 26 to 28, incorporating music and diverse culinary offerings.
“We are thrilled to welcome the world to the very site where Los Angeles began,” said Domenika Lynch, General Manager of El Pueblo Historical Monument. “The El Pueblo de Los Angeles Heritage Festival is more than just an event; it’s a bridge between our history and our global future.”
The El Pueblo de Los Angeles Heritage Festival is a free event with no tickets required.
In the Arts District, Boomtown Brewery will host a spirited soccer celebration, featuring Group Stage Watch Parties for matches involving Team USA, Mexico, and Brazil. Doors will open at least two hours before kickoff, with pre-game festivities that include DJs, themed culinary pop-ups from local food partners, craft beer specials, and full match audio. Notably, the Brazil Group Stage Watch Parties will showcase Bossa Nova Brazilian Cuisine.
“Los Angeles is one of the greatest soccer cities in the world, and the World Cup deserves an unforgettable atmosphere,” said Nick Gingold, Marketing Director of Boomtown Brewery. “We are excited to bring together passionate fans, craft beer, incredible food, music, and the unmatched energy of international football right here in the Los Angeles Arts District.”
