One Person Killed, Three Injured in Hawthorne Multi-Vehicle Accident
One Dead, Three Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Hawthorne
A multi-vehicle crash in Hawthorne on Sunday morning has resulted in one fatality and three injuries. The incident occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m. at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Inglewood Avenue, according to the Hawthorne Police Department.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered four damaged vehicles along with several individuals suffering from injuries. Responders from the Los Angeles County Fire Department were required to extricate two individuals from one of the vehicles involved in the crash.
Four people were transported to the hospital, with two in "extremely critical condition." Tragically, one of the injured individuals later succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the deceased has not yet been made public.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is being handled by the department’s Traffic Bureau. Authorities are urging anyone with information or video footage related to the incident to contact the Traffic Bureau at 310-349-2701.
