Stabbing Investigation Initiated in Downtown Los Angeles
A stabbing incident is under investigation in downtown Los Angeles following an attack near Union Station during the morning commute on Wednesday.
At approximately 5:30 a.m., firefighters responded to reports of a stabbing in the 800 block of Alameda Street, as alerted by Union Station security. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the victim was assaulted across the street from the train station but managed to walk to the main building before collapsing. Emergency personnel transported the individual to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Currently, police have not disclosed any information about suspects or the motive behind the attack, which remains under investigation. The condition of the victim is also unknown, and authorities have not recovered a weapon.
Detectives are set to review surveillance footage from Union Station and nearby businesses to assist in identifying the perpetrator. Commuters in the area can expect a heightened police presence around the station’s main entrance as investigations continue.
