What to Expect from ‘The White Lotus’ Season 4: Cannes Film Festival Theme and Stunning Hotel Locations Revealed
Filming for Season 4 of Mike White’s The White Lotus has officially commenced on the French Riviera. HBO has confirmed that the upcoming installment will intertwine with the Cannes Film Festival, which is set to take place in the same region during production.
According to the official logline, Season 4 will explore the experiences of a new group of guests and employees at the White Lotus hotel over the course of a week, coinciding with the famed film festival.
Locations confirmed for the new season include the previously rumored Airelles Château de la Messardière in Saint-Tropez, designated as the White Lotus du Cap, alongside the Hôtel Martinez, which will serve as the White Lotus Cannes. The Hôtel Martinez is situated along the iconic Promenade de la Croisette, well-known as a hotspot for celebrities and industry leaders during the festival.
The White Lotus will feature a range of locations, including Cannes, St. Tropez, and Monaco. Additional filming is planned in Paris, although HBO emphasizes that the narrative will primarily unfold along the Côte d’Azur.

The network has also confirmed the previously announced cast for Season 4, which includes Helena Bonham Carter, Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Dylan Ennis, Corentin Fila, Ari Graynor, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, AJ Michalka, Kumail Nanjiani, and Nadia Tereszkiewicz. Other notable cast members include Chloe Bennet, Sandra Bernhard, Heather Graham, Max Greenfield, Frida Gustavsson, Charlie Hall, Jarrad Paul, Rosie Perez, Ben Schnetzer, and Laura Smet.
Written and directed by series creator Mike White, Season 4 will be executive produced by White, David Bernad, and Mark Kamine.
