In a recent episode of his New Heights podcast, celebrated Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, 36, shared an endearing story about a gift he gave to his fiancée, Taylor Swift, also 36. The episode aired on Christmas Eve, highlighting Kelce’s knack for thoughtful presents.
“I will say one of Tay’s favorite gifts that I got her was the bread slicer,” Kelce stated while co-hosting with his brother, Jason Kelce, and Jason’s wife, Kylie.
Jason’s enthusiastic “Oh nice!” punctuated Travis’s revelation.
Travis explained that the gift was perfect for Swift, given her keen interest in baking sourdough bread at home. “[I bought it] because she’s been throwing together so much f—ing sourdough,” he quipped.
He further praised the benefits of her baking, noting, “Gosh, they’re the best gut healthers,” before concluding with a sweet, “I love you, Tay.”

Swift, a baking enthusiast, is recognized for her homemade bread, often delighting friends and family with her culinary creations. Earlier this year, she gifted loaves to friends Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco for Gomez’s 33rd birthday. Blanco shared an image of the present alongside a note that read, “It’s a loaf story,” referencing a lyric from Swift’s signature song “Love Story.”

On an episode of the podcast aired on August 13, Swift also discussed her passion for creating diverse sourdough flavors, revealing new recipes she was testing for Jason and Kylie’s daughters.
“There’s a blueberry lemon, a cinnamon swirl, cinnamon raisin, and this one I’ve been workshopping for the girls because they love everything rainbow — Funfetti sourdough,” she shared.
Jason responded enthusiastically, “Oh my gosh. That’s gonna blow their mind.”
Swift added, “No. It will because they love sprinkles. We put sprinkles in everything when we hang out,” emphasizing her joy in baking and creating special treats.
Reflecting on her baking journey, Swift humorously noted, “The sourdough’s taken over my life in a huge way. I’m really talking about bread 60 percent of the time now.”
