Bunnie Xo Shares Exciting News About Surrogate Plans for Twins with Jelly Roll: Celebrating an Incredible Woman
Bunnie Xo Opens Up About Fertility Journey in New Memoir
Bunnie Xo has shared intimate details of her fertility journey alongside country star Jelly Roll in her recently released memoir, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic. In the book, she reveals that the couple has already selected a surrogate in anticipation of expanding their family.
In an excerpt from the memoir, which was made public on February 17, Bunnie Xo discusses their plans for conceiving twins through in vitro fertilization (IVF), intending to bring their future children into the world via a surrogate. "Now that we’re finally stable financially and somewhat emotionally after all the healing we’ve done over this decade together, we’re talking about the future — including growing our family," she writes.
Bunnie continued, "J and I have a surrogate, the sweetest woman ever, and soon I’ll be starting my IVF stims. With how much IVF has advanced over the years, and with the help of the most unselfish woman willing to carry twins for us, we’ll be able to make our baby dreams come true."
According to the Mayo Clinic, IVF typically involves one to two weeks of ovarian stimulation before eggs can be retrieved. These eggs are fertilized in a lab and then placed in the uterus of a surrogate, as is the case for Bunnie and Jelly.
Throughout 2025, Bunnie has been candid about the emotional and physical challenges linked to her IVF treatments. She expressed her struggles on TikTok in July, stating, “I’ve had to miss a lot of fun things, my body has been thru the ringer & honestly I’m exhausted mentally & physically.” Earlier, she described the IVF process as “lonely” and “a lot to bear.”
In her memoir, Bunnie—who shares custody of Jelly Roll’s teenage daughter Bailee and acts as a stepmother to his younger son Noah—addressed critics who believe she and Jelly are too old to welcome more children. Bunnie, at 46, and Jelly, at 41, have received pushback for their decision. She stated, “Some people frown upon our decision to bring babies into this world at our age. And I could give a f–k.”
This personal and revealing narrative not only highlights Bunnie Xo’s aspirations to grow her family but also reflects her resilience in the face of adversity and societal expectations.
