After strong winds led to the cancellation of his performance at Coachella 2026’s weekend one last Friday, Anyma returned to the festival for weekend two. This time, calm conditions allowed him to debut his new show, ÆDEN.

The show began late, around 12:15 a.m. Saturday, with Anyma appearing in all white. A massive screen behind him lit up, displaying digitally rendered columns that crumbled and reformed.
Anyma himself was elevated on a platform that rose and fell, creating an illusion that he floated in the air. This was accentuated by swirling fire and various special effects throughout the performance.
The show featured characters inspired by ancient art, including a figure resembling Michelangelo’s David, who smashed through the columns. Additional characters included a Medusa-like entity with hissing snakes and muscular figures that appeared to be formed from tree roots.
The blend of ancient and modern art reflects a foundational theme of the Anyma universe, familiar to audiences from his recent End of Genesys residency at Sphere Las Vegas. Notably, the show reintroduced visuals familiar from that residency, such as bugging eyeballs that appeared in the “Voices In My Head” segment, albeit with a darker twist at Coachella.
Ellie Goulding made a notable appearance, too, with her likeness displayed as a marble statue during her collaboration “Hypnotized,” shifting from her previous visual representation at Sphere.
Breaking from Coachella tradition, Anyma introduced several guests during his performance, including Matt Bellamy of Muse and Swae Lee. K-pop sensation LISA was also a highlight, as the two debuted their collaborative single “Bad Angel” for the first time on stage.
LISA graced the stage in a shimmering dress, proclaiming her mischievous nature as an angel while a hologram of her appeared above. Despite the absence of the hologram for those in attendance, her presence profoundly excited the audience.
The show concluded with Joji, who performed “Beautiful,” another collaboration with Anyma. His image appeared on screen as a stone figure, exemplifying the ongoing clash between the new and the old, as the song served as the closing number.
Overall, ÆDEN advanced the rich narrative Anyma has crafted, merging ancient artistry with cutting-edge technology. His performance at Coachella’s mainstage not only marked a significant moment for him but also represented a broader recognition for dance music at one of the world’s leading music festivals.
