Tori Roloff from ‘Little People Big World’ Gives an Honest Update on Her Cystic Acne Journey
Tori Roloff has shared her journey to self-confidence, revealing that it has taken her nearly a year to feel secure in her own skin.
In an emotional Instagram post on January 3, Roloff, 34, recalled her struggles with severe cystic acne, stating, “OK, this is a little bit of a vulnerable post. This time last year, I was struggling so bad with my skin. I was getting the worst cystic acne that hurt and looked terrible. I’m not one to get insecure, but this one was hard to work through for me.”
To illustrate her progress, she followed with a current selfie showing significant improvement in her skin. “This is almost exactly one year later after working with @gloaestheticsandwellness @zoskinhealth and @skinbetter,” she wrote. “My skin looks and feels so much better. I’ve also consistently worked to heal my gut with @tryarmra, and I’m feeling so grateful.”
The alum of *Little People, Big World* has been open about her body image challenges, particularly during her pregnancies. Together with her husband Zach Roloff, she has welcomed three children: Jackson, Lilah, and Josiah, in 2017, 2019, and 2022, respectively.

Reflecting on her pregnancy experiences, Roloff wrote in July 2019, “This pregnancy has been a lot harder on me than the last. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been so lucky. I’m not sick (anymore) and I haven’t had any complications (thank the Lord). However, I have had a harder time accepting my body this go-around.” She emphasized the impact of unsolicited comments, sharing, “Hearing people ask me if I’m sure it’s not twins definitely does not help.”
Following the birth of Lilah, Roloff began prioritizing her fitness, stating in October 2020, “This is the first time I’ve found a place that I feel like holds me accountable. It’s been good. I just feel stronger, and I feel more confident.” Zach observed his wife’s growing confidence as she embraced her postpartum body.

“I’ve told her she walks around more confidently and speaks more confidently about herself,” Zach noted. “It’s been good.”
Most recently, Roloff has reflected on her transformative journey post-pregnancy. In August 2023, she candidly discussed considering a tummy tuck, stating, “My body has been through so much. But at the same time, I’m like, ‘God gave me three beautiful children and he gave me this life that I’m so proud of.’ I’m so proud of my body being able to carry three babies to full term and be cut open three times, and I can still run around.”
Ultimately, Roloff decided against surgery, declaring that she is now “in awe” of her body rather than feeling shame.
