Tom Cruise Won’t Be at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, Leaving Fans Disappointed for Paris 2024-style Stunts
Speculation abounds in the Italian media regarding Tom Cruise’s potential attendance at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, with rumors suggesting he may participate in the festivities, including the opening ceremony on Friday.
Reports indicate that the Mission: Impossible star has rented a luxury chalet near the upscale resort of Cortina d’Ampezzo, where alpine skiing, bobsleigh, luge, and curling events will take place.
Furthermore, some enthusiasts speculate that Cruise might replicate his daring stunts from the Paris 2024 Olympics, where he famously abseiled off the roof of the Stade de France during the closing ceremony.
However, regardless of Cruise’s involvement, a star-studded lineup is expected for the 2026 Winter Games. Snoop Dogg has arrived for his role as a special correspondent for NBC’s Olympics coverage, and Grammy-winning artist Usher, Oscar-winning actress Marisa Tomei, Overcompensating creator Benito Skinner, and singer-songwriter Maggie Rodgers were all present at a Thursday event in Milan hosted by Ralph Lauren, the official outfitter of Team USA since 2008.
Mariah Carey is also in Milan, set to headline the opening ceremony. A dress rehearsal held on Wednesday revealed that she will perform the beloved Italian classic “Nel blu, dipinto di blu,” commonly known as “Volare.”
