Australian Actor Tim Minchin Joins Voice Cast for Animated Feature ‘Zac Power’
Tim Minchin, the renowned Australian actor, comedian, and musician, has been announced as part of the voice cast for the animated feature Zac Power. He joins a lineup that includes Matt Lucas, Parker Little, Kylie Cantrall, and David Wenham. The film will be represented internationally by Studio 100 at the upcoming European Film Market.
Based on a beloved Australian book series, Zac Power follows a teenage spy whose reputation is put at risk by a new agent. After a series of missteps allows a villain to acquire advanced technology, he must confront his failures and collaborate with his rival.
Studio 100 plans to showcase a teaser trailer to prospective buyers at the event in Berlin. The film is produced by Flying Bark Productions and Cheeky Little Media, in collaboration with Pixel Zoo Animation Studios. Direction is led by Alexs Stadermann, known for Maya the Bee: The Honey Games, and David Webster, who directed Kangaroo Beach.
Distribution in Australia and New Zealand will be managed by Paramount Pictures. Production has received support from Screen Australia in partnership with the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF), while post-production, as well as digital and visual effects, are backed by Screen NSW and Screen Queensland.
