Paramount+ Renews Taylor Sheridan’s The Madison for Third Season
Paramount+ has announced the renewal of The Madison, a drama series created by Taylor Sheridan and featuring Michelle Pfeiffer, for a third season. The renewal follows a strong launch, as the first three episodes debuted on March 14, attracting notable viewer engagement.
Both the first and second seasons of The Madison consist of six episodes, which is fewer than other series in Sheridan’s portfolio, which typically range from eight to ten episodes. The episode count for the upcoming season remains to be determined.
According to Luminate, The Madison achieved the status of the number one season launch in the U.S. among streaming originals based on viewership during its initial week of release from March 13 to March 19. It is projected to debut on Nielsen’s Streaming Top 10 chart, likely ranking within the top five original series, with nearly one billion minutes viewed during the first full week from March 16 to March 22.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Montana and the vibrant streets of Manhattan, The Madison explores the complex dynamics that bind families together. Critics have responded positively to the series, with Parade describing it as "deeply emotional, poignant, and powerful," while Variety emphasized that "Michelle Pfeiffer gives a powerhouse performance."
The series also features a talented ensemble cast that includes Kurt Russell, Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, Patrick J. Adams, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova, Matthew Fox, and Will Arnett.
The Madison is executive produced by Taylor Sheridan, alongside David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Christina Alexandra Voros, Michael Friedman, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell, and Keith Cox. Voros directs all six episodes of the inaugural season.
