Shirley MacLaine Spotted in Malibu: A Fashion Statement at 91
On November 29, 2025, Shirley MacLaine made headlines as she stepped out in Malibu, California, showcasing a vibrant red hat and brown gradient sunglasses during a lunch outing at Kristy’s Village Cafe with her assistant.
The 91-year-old actress opted for a relaxed look, pairing her accessories with a blue zip-up hoodie, a matching T-shirt, and light sweatpants, blending casual wear with a touch of Old Hollywood glam.
Two days prior, MacLaine was seen in a similar outfit, complete with a wide-brimmed sun hat while enjoying a conversation over a bright orange cocktail at the same cafe.
Reflecting on her extensive career, MacLaine discussed her memoir, The Wall of Life: Pictures and Stories from This Marvelous Lifetime, during an interview with PEOPLE in October 2024. “I’ve always known I’d have a long life, so I was looking forward,” she noted, while reminiscing about the significant moments captured in her photos. "I’m an optimist anyway. I look forward to the next day rather than — well, I must say, now I wonder how much longer."
Though she occasionally considers her remaining time, MacLaine is not consumed by thoughts of what could come in another life. When asked who she would like to be reincarnated as, she replied, “Oh, honey, I don’t know. I can’t do that. I’ve got to spend some time in heaven first.”

As the Academy Award winner shared insights about her longevity, she attributed it, in part, to her lifelong passion for dance. On her 90th birthday, MacLaine noted, "I started my dance training at age 3 and stopped at about 67. It taught me discipline, loving music, working with people and dealing with pain."
In 2019, she expressed her enduring zest for life, stating, "I have what I consider just a perfect life … I eat what I want, I sleep when I want. Learn to amalgamate with nature. I have all the animals around me [in New Mexico]. It’s everything I need to be happy."
