Armed Man Search Prompts Lockdown at Santa Clarita School

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – A search is underway for an armed man seen in a Santa Clarita neighborhood on Wednesday morning, leading to a lockdown at James Foster Elementary School.

The incident was reported shortly after 9 a.m. in the 22500 block of Pamplico Drive, located off Santa Clarita Road in the Saugus area. Authorities quickly responded to the situation.

By around 10:30 a.m., aerial footage captured by SkyFOX showed a SWAT team evacuating residents as firefighters remained on standby. Observers noted what appeared to be a firearm in a yard during the aerial surveillance at 10:45 a.m.

No injuries have been reported in connection with the ongoing event. Further details are not yet available as the situation unfolds.
