Russell T. Davies to Lead Masterclass at Series Mania

Russell T. Davies, the acclaimed showrunner of Doctor Who, will host a masterclass at Series Mania, joined by his long-time producing partner, Nicola Shindler. The duo, known for their work on It’s a Sin, Years & Years, and Queer as Folk, will present exclusive first-look clips from their upcoming Channel 4 show, Tip Toe.

During the masterclass, Davies and Shindler are expected to reflect on their successful careers, which have significantly shaped British television with numerous popular and critically acclaimed dramas. Recently, Shindler received the third annual ‘Woman in Series Award’ at the Series Mania forum, honoring her contributions to the industry.

Tip Toe features actors Alan Cumming and David Morrissey as two gay neighbors in Manchester. The series tackles pressing issues facing the LGBTQ+ community, particularly the resurgence of prejudice.

Series Mania is set to take place from March 21 to 28, with Fremantle executives Jennifer Mullin and Andrea Scrosati also scheduled to speak at the event.
