Rodeo FX Expands with New Studio in India, Building on Success from Projects Like ‘Dune’ and ‘Stranger Things’
Rodeo FX, a Montreal-based visual effects firm known for its work on major productions such as *Game of Thrones*, *Stranger Things*, *The Rings of Power*, *John Wick: Chapter 4,* and *Dune,* has announced the opening of a new studio in Bangalore, India.
This new location marks Rodeo FX’s first studio in Asia, joining existing offices in Montreal, Quebec, Toronto, Los Angeles, and Paris. The Bangalore studio is set to become fully operational this summer and will be integrated into Rodeo FX’s global production pipeline, supporting various projects across film, episodic content, animation, advertising, and immersive experiences.
“India is home to an exceptional pool of talent,” stated Sebastien Moreau, CEO and Founder of Rodeo FX. “Opening in Bangalore allows us to better integrate this expertise into our global pipeline while offering greater flexibility and efficiency to our clients.”
The announcement follows closely on the heels of Rodeo FX’s recent inauguration of a new, larger studio in Paris, which consolidates its French divisions under one roof, including the Mikros Animation unit acquired in 2025. The company had initially expanded into France in 2024.
Located in the International Tech Park Bangalore, the new 40,000-square-foot facility will accommodate up to 400 artists and enhance the studio’s capacity to support both Rodeo FX and Mikros Animation projects.
“This new studio gives us the opportunity to reconnect with many talented artists,” remarked Julien Meester, President of Mikros Animation. “We’re proud to bring this community back together and build on that foundation within Rodeo FX’s global network.”
Sivaraman S T, formerly a member of the Mikros Animation leadership team, has been appointed as Head of Studio and will oversee operations in Bangalore.
“This is an exciting moment for us,” said Sivaraman. “We’re building on a strong team and culture as we grow the Bangalore studio into a key hub within the global network.”
Jordan Soles, Senior Vice-President of Rodeo FX, described the expansion into India as a logical progression in the company’s growth strategy. “This new studio strengthens our presence in the region while complementing the partnerships we’ve built with our local collaborators,” Soles added.
