The finale of Mariah Carey’s highly anticipated Christmastime in Las Vegas residency on Saturday, Dec. 13, saw the pop superstar Rihanna in attendance. A social media video captured a lighthearted moment when a fan asked Rihanna to stop blocking their view, leading to a humorous exchange.
In the clip, as Carey performed "We Belong Together," Rihanna stood up on her seat, waving her arms and blowing kisses to the singer, who is affectionately known as the Songbird Supreme. The brief interruption prompted another attendee to suggest that Rihanna take her seat, to which Rihanna humorously exclaimed, "Oh, s—!"
"Maybe I could dance a little," she added before acknowledging the fan’s request, saying, "My bad, my bad," while resuming her dancing once seated.
"The audacity to yell at Rihanna to sit down while she’s fangirling over Mariah is wild," noted a TikTok user who shared the moment, adding a witty commentary to the scene.
This wasn’t the first time Rihanna showed her admiration for Carey. Last December, she made headlines attending Carey’s final Christmas Time Tour stop in Brooklyn, where she excitedly declared, "Mariah Carey is signing my tit," as she basked in the moment of having Carey, who engaged with fans during her performance of "Always Be My Baby," sign her breast, eliciting applause from the audience.

Currently, Carey’s iconic hit "All I Want for Christmas Is You" has climbed back to the No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, marking its historic 20th week at the top since its debut in 1994, as of the chart dated Dec. 20, 2025.
In a surprising twist, another holiday favorite, "Last Christmas" by Wham!, recently took over the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Global 200 chart for the first time since its launch in September 2020, dethroning Carey’s longstanding hit.
