Daisuke Ashihara’s WORLD TRIGGER Vol. 29 has debuted at No. 1 on Billboard Japan’s Book Hot 100 chart for the week of December 1 to 7, showcasing strong sales as it was released on December 11.

The Japan Book Hot 100 is an extensive list that combines data from physical books, e-books, library loans, and subscription-based metrics including social media usage. This week, WORLD TRIGGER claims the top spot, leading both in physical-store sales and e-book metrics, while also receiving notable points from e-commerce and social media engagement.

Eiichiro Oda’s ONE PIECE Vol. 113, which became available digitally this week, climbed four positions, moving from No. 6 to No. 2. Following closely at No. 3 is Mina Miyajima’s Naruse wa Miyako wo Kakenukeru, which made a significant entry into the top three after not being in the previous week’s top 20. This final installment of the much-acclaimed young adult series features the character Akari Naruse and has surpassed 1.8 million cumulative copies sold. Released on December 1, it achieved the No. 1 spot in social media, No. 2 in e-commerce, and No. 3 in physical-store sales.
