Reseda Residents Share Their Frustration Over Indecent Neighbor Behavior
Residents of Reseda Concerned by Disturbing Behavior of Neighbor
Residents in the Reseda neighborhood are voicing their frustrations over a neighbor who has reportedly been exposing himself while behaving erratically, often screaming and making inappropriate gestures from his window. This troubling conduct has left many feeling unsettled and fearful.
For years, neighbors along Garden Grove Avenue have expressed concerns about the man’s actions. According to multiple residents, he frequently engages in lewd behavior toward both adults and children and has a history of late-night disturbances. Some locals allege that he also rents out sheds in his backyard to transient individuals.
A resident, who wished to remain anonymous for safety reasons, recounted her unsettling experiences. “He just starts screaming sometimes. Any given day, he’ll just decide to lean out his window, start screaming for a few hours. It’ll go on into the middle of the night,” she said. “I hear him sometimes at 2 in the morning, 3 in the morning, and it just doesn’t stop until the next morning.” She added that this unpredictability has made even simple tasks, like taking out the trash, a source of anxiety.
Reports indicate that local law enforcement has responded to the man approximately 150 times, but officers have stated that there are limitations to what they can do in these situations.
City Councilmember Nithya Raman, who represents the district that includes Reseda, acknowledged awareness of the ongoing issues. “Our office has just been made aware of the situation, and we are actively looking into it,” Raman stated. “Every resident deserves to feel safe in their neighborhood, and we take these concerns seriously. It is also clear that the individual at the center of this situation is in need of serious support and services. We will be in contact with the relevant city departments to ensure this matter receives the attention it warrants, and we will be reaching out to the residents involved and working to identify the appropriate next steps.”
The situation continues to develop as residents seek solutions and city officials consider next steps to address the community’s concerns.
