Paris Hilton Shares Insights on Her Fire Relief Efforts at L.A. Woman Luncheon Hosted by Los Angeles Magazine
Celebrating Female Leadership in L.A.: Paris Hilton Highlights Community Resilience at Luncheon
On Friday, the Beverly Hilton hotel hosted a significant luncheon, organized by Los Angeles magazine to celebrate its March 2025 issue featuring Paris Hilton on the cover. The event included panel discussions, networking opportunities, and a curated three-course meal, bringing together community leaders and influencers.
This special edition of the magazine honors female leaders in Los Angeles who took initiative to support the community following the devastating wildfires in January. Among those recognized were Avery Colvert and her mother, Lauren Sandidge, co-founders of Altadena Girls, a group dedicated to assisting teenage victims of the Eaton Fire. They introduced Paris Hilton prior to her conversation with Los Angeles magazine’s Deputy Editor, Jasmin Rosemberg.
In a powerful moment, Hilton spoke about her own experience with loss, having lost her home in the Pacific Palisades fire. “Right away, I started thinking about people who had lost so much more,” she said, emotionally recalling her concern for families displaced by the disaster. Hilton shared her commitment to helping those affected, driven by empathy for mothers and children facing hardships.
Hilton partnered with Baby2Baby, a nonprofit providing essentials to children in need, and began fostering a dog named Zuzu through the Pasadena Humane Society. Additionally, Hilton and Hilton Hotels coordinated the donation of 20,000 rooms to shelter families who had lost their homes.
“The first two nights, I went and surprised these families that we had put up at a hotel,” Hilton recounted. “Just hearing from them how much it meant to them made my heart feel so full.”
City Councilmember Traci Park, an honoree featured in the L.A. Woman issue, also addressed the audience, emphasizing the significance of community solidarity during crises. The gathering not only celebrated notable women leaders but also highlighted their unwavering commitment to uplift and support those in need throughout Los Angeles.
