One Person Arrested, Another Still Wanted in North Hills Copper Wire Theft
Police Arrest One in Copper Wire Theft Incident in North Hills
Authorities apprehended one individual and are actively searching for a second suspect involved in the theft of copper wire in North Hills early Thursday morning.
At approximately 2:30 a.m., officers from the Los Angeles Police Department were patrolling near the intersection of Roscoe Boulevard and North Burnet Avenue when they observed two individuals cutting copper wire from utility poles in the area.
Upon approaching the suspects, police successfully detained one individual on charges of grand theft. The second suspect managed to flee the scene.
Details regarding the quantity of wire stolen have not been disclosed, and an investigation is ongoing.
