Nikki Glaser made a poignant tribute to Rob Reiner during the 2026 Golden Globes.
The 44-year-old host closed the 83rd annual Golden Globes on January 11 by donning a black baseball cap adorned with “Spinal Tap,” referencing Reiner’s iconic 1984 film.
“Well, that’s our show. This one went to 11,” she remarked, alluding to a famous scene from the movie featuring Reiner and co-star Christopher Guest. “Thank you guys for an amazing night, and I hope we found the line between clever and stupid. A good Chalamet to you all, good night!”
Glaser’s homage comes a month after Rob, 78, and Michele, 70, were found dead in their Los Angeles home. Their son, Nick, has been charged in connection with their deaths.

Comedian Chelsea Handler previously honored Rob Reiner at the Critics Choice Awards on January 4, characterizing him as “the nicest guy in Hollywood.”
Before the Golden Globes, Glaser acknowledged Handler’s closer connection to Reiner, stating, “I knew him, but not really well, and it’s delicate, because we don’t really have an In Memoriam.”
Glaser expressed her desire to pay tribute in her own way, saying, “I have something planned to just acknowledge him and celebrate him in my own way.”

Reflecting on her tribute, Glaser concluded, “If something happened to me and Rob Reiner was hosting a show, how would I want him to handle it? I think I landed on something that I feel he would do for me too.”
