Nicole Curtis, the star of HGTV’s Rehab Addict, shared a frightening travel experience with her followers on Instagram. In a post dated February 2, she recounted her distressing ride on a small plane while traveling through Central America.
Curtis’s post featured a video clip of the turbulent flight, during which she described feeling overwhelmed. "I cried, I prayed, I took the Lord’s name in vain," she wrote, alongside an image of herself by the aircraft. Reflecting on the ordeal, Curtis expressed that this phase of her travel had been exceptionally challenging.
She also reassured her audience regarding her HGTV show, stating, “Shows are done – waiting for airdate announcement.” This announcement comes as her fans eagerly await the return of Rehab Addict, which has undergone significant production changes in recent months.
Curtis characterized the flight as one of the "craziest" experiences she has had, comparing it to her previous adventure on a night train across India. Addressing her followers, she posed a question, “What’s the craziest thing on your life list?”
The journey took a toll on her health, as she later revealed that the motion sickness she experienced prevented her from boarding her next flight. “Was supposed to be on another plane, but I’m horizontal til morning – motion sickness got me," she noted.
Alongside her narrative was a video capturing the flight, showing the plane’s nose swaying dramatically as Curtis struggled to stabilize her camera. This raw portrayal of her experience resonated with her audience, highlighting the unpredictability of travel.
Nicole Curtis’s adventurous spirit continues as fans await updates regarding her show’s return. After pulling the ninth season from the air in July 2025 following only two episodes, she later announced plans for its return. HGTV confirmed that the remaining episodes of Rehab Addict Season 9 are expected to air in the first quarter of 2026, with further details to be provided soon.
