NBC’s ‘The Hunting Party’ Now Available to Stream on Netflix
The Hunting Party fans will gain a new viewing option as Netflix has finalized a deal with NBCUniversal to bring the crime drama to its platform.
Last week, Netflix announced plans to broaden its selection of licensed titles, with the Melissa Roxburgh-led series becoming the latest addition following a surprise agreement with Paramount, which includes shows like Mayor of Kingstown.
The first season of The Hunting Party, created by JJ Bailey and Jake Coburn, will be available for streaming on Netflix starting February 15. Previously, it was streaming exclusively on Peacock. The show’s second season debuted on NBC earlier this month and features a 13-episode order.
This gripping series follows a specialized team of investigators tasked with capturing some of the nation’s most dangerous killers, all of whom have recently escaped from a clandestine prison. The cast includes Nick Wechsler, Patrick Sabongui, Josh McKenzie, and Sara Garcia.

Produced by Universal Television, the show has Bailey and Coburn as executive producers, alongside director Thor Freudenthal and writer Keto Shimizu.
In recent months, Netflix has been actively enhancing its U.S. library. Mayor of Kingstown will join other Paramount series such as Watson and SEAL Team on the platform. Additionally, Netflix secured a significant movie deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment, amounting to a $7 billion global pay-1 licensing agreement.
Ted Sarandos, Co-CEO of Netflix, noted that licensing agreements have become increasingly straightforward in recent years, describing it as “the more natural state of the business.” He elaborated at the UBS media conference that “the availability to license has opened up a lot more.”
