Mike Dopud from ‘Power’ and ‘Arrow’ is Coming to Netflix in ‘Trinity’
Mike Dopud Joins Netflix Series ‘Trinity’
Mike Dopud, known for his roles in Power and Arrow, has been cast in Netflix’s upcoming series Trinity. Under the guidance of showrunner and executive producer Jed Mercurio, Dopud will portray Waylon Kelly, Command Master Chief in the U.S. Navy.
The series features a prominent cast that includes Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Richard Madden, Marcia Gay Harden, and JD Pardo, who were confirmed earlier. Additional recurring roles will be filled by James Remar, Bruce Greenwood, Kirk Acevedo, Ben Cotton, Jason Ralph, and Mark O’Brien.
Trinity centers on Commander Katherine Decker, played by Mbatha-Raw, a heroic Naval Officer who becomes entangled with the seemingly charismatic Secretary of Defense, only to uncover his potential ties to a dangerous conspiracy.
Decker serves as the second-in-command aboard the USS Kansas, a nuclear submarine regarded as one of the most formidable weapons on the planet. Richard Madden will portray Secretary of Defense Webb Preston, who brings a unique technological background that poses various threats. Marcia Gay Harden plays Margaret Vandenburg, a CEO and matriarch navigating the complexities of her family’s business and political connections. JD Pardo features as Tom Reyes, a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy.
In supporting roles, Bruce Greenwood will play Special Agent Eric Colby, along with a lineup that includes Wisdom as Admiral Griff Tatum, Acevedo as Captain Jock Campbell, Cotton as Special Agent Jake Ryan, Remar as President Paul Barnard, Ralph as Brooks Vandenburg, and O’Brien as Dr. Brian York.
The eight-episode series is produced by 20th Television, with executive producers including Mercurio, Jimmy Mulville of Hat Trick Mercurio, and Wendy Mericle. Michael Cuesta will direct and serve as an executive producer for the first two episodes.
Dopud’s notable credits include appearances in Stargate Universe, The 100, Turner & Hooch, Battlestar Galactica, and Mistresses. His film roles encompass Violent Night, Deadpool 2, and This Means War. Dopud is represented by Global Artists Agency and Pacific Artists Management.
