Meredith Hagner, Guy Burnet, and Freya Mavor Cast in New Erotic Thriller ‘Scorn’ by Sarah-Violet Bliss and Topic Studios
Meredith Hagner, Guy Burnet, and Freya Mavor Join ‘Scorn’ Cast
Meredith Hagner, known for her role in Search Party, Guy Burnet from Landman, and Freya Mavor, recognized for her part in Skins, have officially joined the cast of Scorn, an erotic thriller produced by Topic Studios and directed by Sarah-Violet Bliss.
Details regarding their characters remain undisclosed. Adria Arjona and Kingsley Ben-Adir have been confirmed as the leading stars of the film.
Currently in production in the UK, Scorn tracks the tumultuous journey of a woman who embarks on a passionate affair with a married man. As the relationship evolves, he attempts to frame their romance as a mere fling, leading her to assert her presence and refuse to fade away quietly.
Bliss is both directing and penning the screenplay. Topic Studios fully finances the film, collaborating with Dylan Clark and Brian Williams of Dylan Clark Productions, along with Amy Jackson of Unified. The deal was negotiated by UTA and CAA.
Hagner, a prominent figure in Bliss’s acclaimed dark comedy series Search Party for TBS and HBO Max, recently starred opposite Vince Vaughn in Apple TV’s Bad Monkey. She is currently working on Will Arbery’s FX pilot 7 Sisters, alongside Elizabeth Olsen, and is shooting the lead role in Stephen Cone’s upcoming film Systems of Color. She is represented by UTA, Suskin/Karshan Management, and Felker Toczek Suddleson.
Burnet is an English actor best known for his role in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. He currently stars in Season 2 of Paramount+’s Landman, co-created by Taylor Sheridan. Upcoming projects include the political thriller Reykjavík, where he co-stars with Jeff Daniels, and the action film The Beast, featuring Samuel L. Jackson. Burnet is represented by The Way, Lasher Group, and Paul Hastings.
Mavor, a Scottish actress recognized for her performances in Skins and Industry, will next appear in Dalloway, directed by Yann Gozlan. She recently completed work on Netflix’s Pride and Prejudice series, portraying Jane Bennet alongside Emma Corrin and Olivia Colman. Mavor is represented by UTA, Agence Adequat, and B-Side Management.
